A zárt láncöltés a következő öltéstechnika, amit be szerettem volna mutatni a sorozatban. Elsősorban azért, mert ez egy újabb egyszerű, de nagyon látványos és variálható öltés. Hímzésben és keresztszemezésben egyaránt használatos. Ezért elsőként bemutatom lépésekben az öltés technikáját, aztán pedig a mintát, amit készítettem. Hogy láthassátok mennyire egyszerű variálni ezt a zártöltést, összeállítottam egy kerti samplert példaként.
The next stitch which I would like to share with you in the series is the detached chain stitch, also called lazy daisy. The main reason to choose this stitch as next was that it is absolutely easy but with spectacular results in his many variations. It's used in embroidery and cross stitch projects as well. First let me show you how the stitch is worked and then I share with you a pattern which I made. I created this garden sampler to show you on an example how easy it is to vary and modify the detached chain stitch.

So first, how do we stitch the detached chain stitch? The picture below illustrates the technique.
As first step you come up with the needle on the right side of the fabric, then directly next to the thread you enter the needle to the fabric and create a little loop. You don't need to pull the thread trough completely but leave the loop long approximately one and half of the length of the stitch. At the top of the stitch you enter the fabric again from the wrong side and pull the needle trough the loop. Then you need to secure the loop by stitching back to the fabric and strain the thread a bit. If the loop isn't tight enough or has not the right shape you can adjust the sides and the thread afterwards of course with the help of the needle.

A növények hímzések visszatérő motívumai, most én is ezt választottam. Az első és utolsó sorban egy szegélyminta veszi közre a hímzést, ami egy nyári kertet stilizál, növényekkel, zöldségekkel, virágokkal. Az alsó szegélyminta huroköltésből áll, amiről leírást itt találhattok, ez lenne a kerítés. A felsőt pedig francia csomóval díszítettem, de ehelyett használhattok akár egy szem gyöngyöt is a díszítéshez.
Az öltések kombinációjával, hossz és szélesség változtatásával különböző formákat alakíthattok ki. Nézzétek csak a répa és a hagyma sorait, a különbség csak abból áll, hogy egyiknél egy hosszabb a másiknál egy kurta öltést használtam.
A színek variálásával egy majdnem megegyező mintából, különböző végeredményt kapunk. Például a levendula és sarkantyúfű csak színeiben különbözik illetve a sarkantyúfű eggyel több öltésből áll, egyébként a minta egyforma (alulról a 3. ill. 5. sor).
Ez talán a legegyszerűbb módja virágmotívumok hímzésének, egy margarétaszerű virág pillanatok alatt elkészíthető. Ha a szirmokat csak félkörben hímezzük, máris kamillához hasonlít, mint a 4. sorban.

Plants and flowers are recurring motives in embroidery, I choose them also this time. As you can see, the first and last row is surrounding the embroidery, a summery garden with all kinds of flowers and vegetables, as a kind of border. The lower border is made with blanket stitch, you can find a description about it here. This would be the garden fence and door. The top row is embellished with french knot but you can use a single bead instead.
With the combination of stitches, changing the length and width you can shape up different forms. Look at the rows of carrots and onions, the only difference between them is that I've made a long and short stitch in different colors.
With variation of colors you can get a very different end result from the same basic pattern. The lavender and delphinium are differing only in colors respectively the delphinium is made with one stitch more but otherwise the pattern is the same (3. and 5. row from below).
The lazy daisy is probably the easiest way to stitch flowers, you can make a daisy in a moment. Are you shaping the stitches as you would do for a daisy but only in a half circle, you can stitch a chamomile like in the 4. row on the sampler.
