Eddig nem igazán foglalkoztam ezen a
blogon mással, inkább csak hímzéssel, viszont a hímzés mellett néha a
varrógépet is előveszem, szívesen olvasok varrósblogokat is és járok
utána trükköknek. Van néhány saját magam által készített ruhadarab a
szekrényemben, de szeretnék jobban odafigyelni arra, hogy ezek valóban
hordhatóak legyenek, illjenek a ruhatáramba és ne csak lógjanak a
szekrényben, miután annyit dolgoztam velük. Minek a saját készítésű ruhatár, ha nincs haszna.
Ezért vettem tervbe és csináltam végig már a Wardrobe Architect Challenge program első részét, amit tavaly indítottak a Coletterie blogon. A blog maga mindenképp öt csillagot kapna egy képzeletbeli ranglistán. Érdemes végignézni a programot a tavalyi bejegyzésekkel kezdődően, sok tipp, ötlet, hogy kezdjünk hozzá, mire érdemes odafigyelni, inspiráló és nem szájbarágós. Ami a legfontosabb, valóban tud újat mutatni és segítséget adni.
Till now I really didn't wrote about anything else on this blog as my needlework, but occasionally I pull out my sewing machine too, like to read through sewing blogs and search for tips and tricks. I have some handmade clothes in my wardrobe.In the future I would like to focus more on what and how I'm sewing so the pieces I make will be more wearable and suitable for my actual style. What I really don't want to have are clothes in my wardrobe hanging which I didn't wear even though it took much effort to make them.
Therefore I planned to participate on the Wardrobe Architect Challenge from Coletterie and did go trough the first part a while ago. This blog deserves five stars on an imaginary rank. I recommend check all the posts beginning with last year, you will find a lot of good tips, ideas, how to start, what to have in mind. It's inspirational and what is the most important thing, it has still a new and good approach, you don't get only the same information as usually.

És tulajdonképpen azért döntettem úgy, hogy pont most írok erről, mert tegnap este elkészültem az első ruhadarabbal. A tegnap este alatt éjszaka fél egyet kell érteni, amikoris felkerült az utolsó gomb és befejeztem a Trónok Harca eddigi utolsó részét. Kicsit megbajlódtam vele, mert két különböző Butterick mintából készült a ruha alja és felső része. Itt-ott tökéletlen, de beleillik a tervembe és elégedett vagyok vele, minden szépséghibája ellenére. Mosni, vasalni és hordható.
One of the most interesting and thrilling part of the process is the hunting for inspiration, I made a Pinterest board for the challenge, you can check if you like.
And the reason why I write about this today is that I finished the first garment yesterday night. By night I mean 1 AM when the last button was sewn by hand on it and I finished the current seasons last episode of Game of Thrones. I had a bit of trouble to sew the dress correctly, since the skirt and the bodice are made from two different Butterick patterns. It is not so neat, here and there are some mistakes but I'm proud of it, it fits in my sewing plan and wardrobe despite of some mistakes. Now the cleaning, ironing and I can wear it.
